Fair Housing & Non-Discrimination Policy
Legal DocumentLast updated: May 25, 2026
Our Commitment
SurfPostings supports equal opportunity in housing and commerce worldwide. We prohibit discriminatory listings, messaging, or conduct based on any characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. This policy applies to every listing on SurfPostings — residential rentals and sales, commercial rentals and sales, land, wave parks, hotels and hostels, and surf businesses — and to everyone who uses the platform, whether listing, buying, selling, renting, or inquiring.
What We Prohibit
When listing, marketing, selling, renting, or responding to inquiries, you may not, based on a protected characteristic:
- Refuse to sell, rent, or negotiate, or otherwise make a property unavailable;
- Set different terms, conditions, or pricing;
- State, suggest, or imply any preference, limitation, or discrimination in a listing, photo, or message;
- Refuse to respond to, or follow up with, a legitimate inquiry; or
- Harass, intimidate, coerce, or retaliate against any person.
Protected Characteristics
SurfPostings prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), familial status, disability, age, or any other characteristic protected by the laws that apply where the property is located. In the United States, the Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. §§ 3601–3619) protects race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, and disability in the sale and rental of housing; many jurisdictions protect additional characteristics, and SurfPostings honors them in every market where we operate.
Your Agreement
By creating a SurfPostings account, you agree to treat everyone in the SurfPostings community with respect and to comply with this policy and all applicable fair housing and anti-discrimination laws when you list, buy, sell, rent, or inquire.
Reporting & Enforcement
If you believe a listing or a member violates this policy, use the “Report this listing” link on any listing page, or email legal@surfpostings.com. Reporting never takes a listing down automatically — our team reviews each report. SurfPostings may remove listings and warn, suspend, or permanently remove members who violate this policy.
